Divide a Big Room

By separating the area with molding, not only will it distinguish where the living room ends and the dining room begins, it will also add architectural detail. Then, by choosing a different, yet complementary paint color, you can further separate the space and add a bit of a "wow" factor.

These tricks can also work well in a large family room or bonus room where you have your TV, office and reading zones. It still allows the family to spend time together -- and it's much more appealing than putting up walls or curtains to divide the space!
