Sweet on salmon? Crazy for camel? Lovesick for lavendar? If you're one of those who worships at the altar of color, you're probably already familiar with Pantone Inc., the international color authority that catalogs and categorizes hues. Founded in 1963 by Lawrence Herbert, Pantone is now perhaps best known for its bold prediction each December of the next year's designated shade, expected to grace runways and set the general tone for the next 12 months. 2009 is mimosa, a bright yellow. Has this year felt bright yellow to you?

If you've got a favorite color, Pantone has swatches and a million ways to copy it. Pantone-branded paint even comes in 3,000 colors. If you just need a quick color fix, check out these Pantone products--like Fiestaware for the high-minded!
