Belinda Kemp's downloadable artwork is the perfect addition to your white walls. The price? FREE! Photo: Feed Your Soul

In today's economy (are you sick of hearing that phrase yet?), free is king. And in a world of virtual decorating and interior design trends, bloggers are hopping on the free train every chance that we get. Lucky for us, a few top sites are offering all sorts of freebies -- from artwork to stationery. If "free" is the new trend, I hope it never goes away!

One of my favorite free resources is for the art lover; Feed Your Soul offers 100 percent free original artwork from today's leading independent artists like Elsita Mora and Gemma Correll. Simpy print, frame and hang for a new look in your living room or office.

And while we're talking office, have you seen Creature Comfort's freebie stationery downloads? Her designs are adorable and ever-so-useful. I'm a bit partial to this lace set, which comes with coordinating gift tags and labels. I'm amazed at the modern glamour I can achieve with a bit of cardstock from an office supply store!

Another instant download that can transform a space with cardstock? This cheeky plant design from Kind Over Matter. Amanda saw a similar paper plant over on my other blog and decided to get to work with a DIY version that she's kindly shared with her readers, and of course, Shelterpop! I'd love to house a variety of these on my kitchen table, and I'm sure my green thumb (or lack thereof) would be quite impressed as well.

Why stop at flowers? If you're in party-planning mode, here are some delightful banners and wrappers to download and craft for a personal touch on any event. Don't forget to download your printable fill-in-the-blank invitations here!

The possibilities are endless. Transform a boring old pillowcase into a love note, add a bookplate to your personal library, or organize your home with printable mini file folders. Perhaps the best things in life really are free?!
