What makes a house a home? Sure, it's family and loved ones, but it's also our most beloved possessions, many of which bring us comfort and happiness day after day.

In "5 Favorite Things," we ask decor-obsessed professionals (and yes, readers!) to tell us about the five items that say to them, "Welcome home."

This week, realtor and HGTV's "My House Is Worth What?" host Kendra Todd (who also won season 3 of Donald Trump's "The Apprentice") took some time out of her busy schedule to snap some gallery and tell us what about her home she loves best.

1) Bella the Dog
"She is the most precious and adorable thing that I own," says Kendra. "I love her to pieces. She is literally the finishing touch that makes my house a home."

2) Heirloom jewelry box
"It was a gift from my grandmother, and it's very special to me," she says. "We used to play dress up together when I was a little girl, and so this brings back fond memories for me. It was handmade with wood and leather by an artisan in Central America."

3) Artwork above bed
"The artwork above my bed is titled, 'The Path of Life,'" she says. "It contains my Life Verse - the biblical scripture that I live by. Psalms 25:4-5, 'Show me the path where I should walk, O LORD; point out the right road for me to follow. Lead me by Your truth and teach me, for You are God...all day long I put my hope in You.'"

4) Her family room
"I love to be hands-on in the design process, so to tie in the warm, earthy hues throughout my family room, I worked with companies to design the decorative pillows for my couch and the custom rug," she says. "I'm really happy with the cozy inviting ambiance in this room."

5) Magnet collection
"The most interesting part of my house is probably the collage on my refrigerator," she says. "It's adorned with magnets containing my favorite quotes, gallery of great adventures and the adorable little kiddies I sponsor around the world. If you had never met me before, you'd learn a lot about who I am and what matters to me in life by checking out my fridge."
