I was over at Viv's fun blog Ish and Chi when I spotted her dramatic office makeover. Check out this before shot! I mean...this looks like a room from a horror movie!

This is a pretty depressing workspace. But don't fear -- Viv is about to transform it into something spectacular! Photo: Ish and Chi

Now it's an entirely different space -- welcoming, bright, feminine and cozy. Photo: Ish and Chi

She managed to do the entire renovation for less than $900 -- the amount of her stimulus check. It goes to show how creative design decisions can go a really long way. You won't even recognize the space now.

She gives a source list at the end of the post. The Matt Blatt Eames-style chair was only $99, while she bought small amounts of gorgeous wallpaper from Graham and Brown, helping to keep the cost down. The rug is IKEA, while the antler table lamp on the sideboard (an eBay splurge at $405) is from Freedom. And if you're wondering about that beautiful mobile -- it's an Adairs paper butterfly mobile and it costs only $50! Go Viv!
