At 10 p.m. each night, my phone alarm goes off. That is when my husband and I head to bed. Even if we are awake until after midnight, we are together. Usually I read while he watches T.V., but just making the time to sit next to each other is really important.

To make my bed a haven, it would have to have wonderfully soft, lovely sheets (like some by Rubie Green), a big fluffy duvet, a delicate bed skirt and my warm fuzzy dog lying at the foot of the bed to keep me company. We spend so much time in our beds, it might as well be the best place to be!

We have extra pillows which makes it haven. The pillows are not for us but for our two girls who come in every morning to lay with us for a couple of minutes before we start our day.
