The Plaza Hotel in New York, a destination for the world's glitziest since it opened in 1907, isn't what it used to be. It closed briefly and underwent a major renovation in 2005, which converted the National Historic Landmark from an 850-room hotel to a 280-room hotel with multi-million dollar condos and an upscale shopping center. A Christie's auction in 2006 cleared out most of the old furnishings. But not all of them.
If you'd like to live like the Beatles and Truman Capote, head over to RememberthePlaza.com, which sells what's left of the old hotel. Some of the items are as impossibly expensive as a night in the Plaza, while others are going for as low as $10.
