When you live in New York City, you see some pretty funny pet accessories. One dog in the neighborhood walks to the park in satin-looking booties -- "To keep him from tracking dirt into the house," his owner told me. My dog is a bit more rough and tumble. (Think: He's the dog in the park constantly humping other dogs.) Still, I love 'em, and every so often I hop over to Paw Nation to see if they're featuring any products he might appreciate. I found a few of my cat and dog favorites, but this is just a sample. You'll have to check out their posts yourself. Even if you don't open your wallet, you'll certainly have a laugh.

Take this vintage suitcase pet bed from Etsy, which I spotted on the site. A small dog would be quite comfortable, but the look of it is what makes me meow. Check out this list of the funniest pet beds ever. Keep reading for more purrrr-fect finds!

So, say you have a dog that would look extremely adorable in a pair of sunglasses -- but is a bit stubborn about keeping them on long enough for a photo. Try these Doggles. Yep -- they're a sunglass/goggle hybrid. Check out more crazy pet products here.

Do craft projects take you forever to get to? Me, too. Well, you have plenty of time to knit these adorable head scarves for your special furry friend. I laughed so hard when I saw these, particularly when I pictured my dog in one. But you know what? A dog's ears do get cold on freezing days. Check out these and other hilarious knitting projects for pets here. (Don't miss the hamster house!)

I couldn't write about Paw Nation without pointing out Horses Hairstyles -- one of the all-time funniest photo galleries. Check it out.

Lastly, I have to say that I feel bad for house cats. They stare longingly at the outside world. My sister's cat hunts from an upstairs window, watching the birds and squirrels with intensity for hours. Anyway, why not take Fifi for a spin around the block in this adorable cotton candy pink stroller. Yes, it's ridiculous, but your cat will love you for it!
