There's been tragedy, and there's been scandal, not to mention ridicule. But that only means the Infomercial product has finally arrived on the scene (move over Lindsay Lohan!).

But despite all the drama, there are some innovative and useful products in the world of late-night television. But how do we weed out our shopaholic urges from legitimate needs? Here are a few at the top of our list:

The Slap Chop
This chopping maniac literally cuts down your prep time in half. (No more store-bought tuna!) The down side: Cleaning it takes a little more time than it would a knife, but it does come apart pretty easily. And it's a deal at two for $19.95.

Space Bag

Ever since moving to a colder climate, I've struggled with the winter/summer wardrobe issue. And that's why I want the Space Bag. It's simply genius for storage -- Each bag squishes down when the air is vacuumed out. Plus for traveling, it makes life so much easier (I'll bring all three outfits!). A set of seven is $19.95.

Smart Mop

I'm probably a sucker, but a mop that doesn't drip, completely wipes a mess up and dries in seconds is pretty much heaven. So what if it isn't the cutest looking? (It vaguely reminds me of a Muppet.) You can just hide it in the cupboard. And not everything costs $19.95 in Infomercial-land, the Smart Mop, at four cents more, comes to the grand total of $19.99.

Glass Wizard

As a lifetime Windex fan, I'm suspect of the Glass Wizard's claim that it only needs water to work. However, the wedge shaped pad does seem thoughtfully designed. The jury's out, but the prospect of life without chemicals is enough to make me a convert. And it's only $10.

I want to know if the products work or if they don't work. Your editorials concerning how they look and if we Should need them or not was an insulting waste of my time to read. Did you even try any of them?

Micro fiber cloth rags clean windows without water and many other things!

In fact with micro fiber rags and micro fiber mops you can virtually clean your entire house with water. It totally amazes me and I'm not even a "greeny", just cheap.

If things are REALLY dirty, go any dollar store and purchase their products that apply to what your trying to clean. When I need to clean my rug or furniture, any fabric actually, a spray rug shampoo or Awesome orange (equals to 409) with a micro fiber rag will amaze you!

We used to clean my windows with a squeegie, vineager and ammonia. It got them very clean, but was very time consuming. Now I purchase a dollar store window cleaner, use a micro fiber rag and the windows are clean in a jiffy!

I could go on, but one of the best investments I've made was a 30 pack of micro fiber rags from Costo and a micro fiber mop. I paid a premium price for that at Home Depot, but now I see that they're available at Walmart. Available soon at a dollar store, I'll bet!

I promise I don't own stock in micro fiber! The only down side is some people just can't stand the "feel" of micro-fiber cleaning cloths.
