Whoopi Goldberg's New York City loft is on the market for a whopping $3.9 million. Located in the heart of SoHo, this 3,600-square-foot apartment boasts two bedrooms, two and a half baths and is nestled on Wooster Street,
Some of the loft's special details that make us wish we could afford this place: exposed brick, high ceilings, lovely wood floors, mahogany windows, vintage ceiling fans, a common roof deck and an entertainment system that comes with a 58" flat screen plasma TV. Now, onto the pics!

This loft looks very uncomfortable. The seating is a mess. Did this woman hire a decorator? I will keep my three bedroom with den on Riverside Drive, still under rent control.

This is a gorgeous home and Whoopi must be making some important life decisions to be putting this on the market. It is easy to see her good taste here and I hope that the next owners can do this home this much justice.
I wanted to comment on the topic because I read all of the comments before mine nad it is amazing to me that NOT ONE of them were on this topic. It is easy to understand that there is little to say about this, because her home is fabulous in every sense of the word, but I wish that some things could be monitored and the offensiveness removed, By the way, I am a middle aged, reading teacher who is opposed to censorship--but this is absurd.
Good luck on selling this loft Whoopi. It has to be hard to sell a home that is so much a part of yourself. I hope that you are doing things for a great personal life change, nothing difficult or painful. It I was welathy and lived in the area, I would consider purchasing your hone in a heartbeat.

Wow thats a beautiful place, great taste Whoopie!!! Now on another note, i would like to say im surprised that people would leave racist or ignorant comments about President Obama on a topic thats totally unrelated but..i'm not. You racist will never live a meaningful life and die angry and miserable because, while the rest of the world is smiling and enjoying life, you choose to be angry and bitter, and for what. smile, theres nothing missing....

I totally agree with you. I love Whoopie's great taste in furnishings. The only thing that I don't like is the overuse of pictures, but I understand it. There is a lot of great and meaningful pics and she probably couldn't, (wouldn't), bear not to display them all. I LOVE Whoopie. She is so funny, talented, and genuine. I have laways loved her relaxed style of humor, and she has a quick wit. On a different note, (and I shouldn't even give the cretins any print time), I am sick of people using ANY forum to write negative stuff about Obama. I don't see the relevance between Whoopie's loft and Obama. It seems the idiots don't need a reason, and they don't have an excuse. I hate them as much as I hate the boobs that keep posting www.dumbosites.com. AOL should ban their account.

another example of AFFIRMATIVE ACTION done good. Or is she a black foreign immigrant that has reached the "glass ceiling"?

Affirmative Action in comedy!? Are you for real!? This is a sign of hardwork! Whoopi started doing comedy in an era where there were'nt many female black comedians, affirmative action has nothing to do with comedy or making movies, funny paid for this.

Amazing- another disgruntled low-life.

If I were staging this loft for sale, I would DE-CLUTTER it a bit, so as to make it show better. I would take the approach of only leaving things out that would not give a clue who lives in the place, so that a potential buyer could "SEE THEMSELVES" and their STUFF in the place. Just one persons opinion. Hope she sells, but the NYC market is probably still fairly strong for these price range residences.

I can understand the comments from "Larry" about "de-cluttering", I would imagine that that will be done at the appropriate. It was my feeling that this was just to show the world where Whoopie lives and how SHE likes it.

Once she sells, hope she spreads the wealth. Seem's Hollywood has gone silent. Pulling out of California in droves, Even Bill Gates is moving to Florida. All to escape higher taxes. Isn't this what they wanted? for the rich to be taxed more to pay for the Democrats pet projects. However when it comes down to it, they don't want to pay, just talk. why don't they open their house's to the under-privelaged and homeless and take some of the burden off the State.
