For a Hollywood bachelor, it's a fairly modest one-story house. That said, we'd still kill to live there. More of this amazing home here!

wow, that house is gorgeous! i'd kill to live there too (:
Replywow that house is beautiful!
Replyi wish i have a house like that.....wow it's beautiful.
It's to bad you would show his house and give the address so he will have less privacy than he already does. Wait for the idiot reporters to camp out in front of his house. Also some crazed fans to start dropping by. I hope he has hired some beefy security gaurds to keep the idiots away.
ReplyI am happy for Shia he deserve this it's a beautiful house and he has worked hard for it. Also he has had this house since January when his Dad took over his 1st house, he was "forced" to move out.
nice house for a 23 year old. I wonder if he did the decorations himself?
Replyhe's a little cutie pie!
ReplyIt's a beautiful house. Nicely decorated and modest. Not anywhere near as large and flashy as I'm sure he can afford. It's nice to read about the more mature side of hollywood once in awhile.
ReplyI'd totally live there.
ReplyShia made a sensible and beautiful house choice.
ReplyI love that the article notes it's nice for a STARTER home. For crying out loud, it cost nearly $2 million and you consider that a starter home? Most people would dream of working their way UP to this. Once again, a comment in a media article that celebrates the rich and famous, which is fine on the surface, but is totally out of touch with how REAL average, everyday people live and get by...
ReplyIf you read the whole statement you'd notice it said, "seems adequate but not overdone in the starter home of a Hollywood bachelor."
Emphasis on HOLLYWOOD bachelor. They're not talking about the normal earning people. If you're just trying to find something to bitch about though I guess it's more convient to miss quote things.
This is actually for "Bigger Ape" and not "Big Ape" since there's no button to directly reply to your post. You're right, Bigger -- the article does state it's the home of a Hollywood person, but I would disagree that "Hollywood" is emphasized in any way. It's not in bold or italics and the article is essentially about LA real estate. Plus, speaking as someone who DOES live and work in Hollywood, Big Ape's core point wasn't far off. Yes, it's an entertainment article...yes, it's a typical fluff piece...but it does state (quote): "it seems adequate but not overdone in the starter home of a Hollywood bachelor." So, I'd cut him some slack. Big Ape's core point that THAT line in the article sounds a bit pretentious (relative to the average hard working person out there) is really not unfair to say. Again, speaking as someone who does live and work in La La Land, trust me, I don't know too many single people living in a $1.8 MILLION home with a pool, car port, and that overlooks the city skyline, who would then qualify it as a "starter home." In fact, Big Ape's assertion that THAT would still be the kind of home that most people -- yes, even those of us who do live in Hollywood -- would aspire to work their way up to is correct. So I find it rather funny and ironic that you claim Big Ape was doing nothing but bitching and misquoting the article, but then you turned around and bitched yourself and essentially misquoted what he was trying to say.
Oh, as for the home -- it looks great. Congrats to LaBeouf on acquiring it. Sherman Oaks (for those who don't live out this way) is a nice area outside the city. Depending on which part of Sherman Oaks you are in, it can be quiet and suburban and then only a few blocks and a short drive over suddenly turn very urban and city-like. So it's an area with a nice mixture of things, that's still away from LA central and away from it all.
@ pinkp i agree. i think that the address could have been left out of the mix. not only will the paparazzi swarm around his home but this is convenient for stalkers and so called fans. I think this wasn't a smart decision. I guess he may not really care though because he could have easily made a call to have it taken down. I mean it has been up for a minute and it said that he purchased it in Jan.
