Occasionally ShelterPop has the pleasure of re-running great content from some of our friends, like the in-the-know folks at In Touch. Check out their look into the D.C. home of TV's Wonder Woman Lynda Carter--including four exclusive gallery that didn't run in the magazine!

TV's Wonder Woman lets her softer side shine through as she shows In Touch the house she built in Washington, D.C.

Lynda Carter: Still gorgeous at 57!

It's hard to believe that it's been three decades since Lynda Carter kicked bad-guy butt as the sexiest superhero ever. Even though her Wonder Woman days are behind her, the 57-year-old is still in super shape. "I have been up and down just like everyone else," Lynda tells In Touch. "I wouldn't be doing anyone any favors if I said I didn't have to work for it."

Indeed, Lynda altered her diet, upped her exercise, successfully won her battle with alcoholism and took a few years off to raise her children, Jamie and Jessica. Now, she's feeling better than ever and is back in the spotlight: She has been performing concerts this summer and her new album, At Last, came out in June. "I am in a healthy place," she says.

At Home in D.C. with Lynda Carter

Lynda Carter has come a long way from her life as the quintessential Hollywood superstar in the '70s and '80s, playing Wonder Woman and starring in made-for-TV movies. Now a wife and mother living in Washington, D.C., she's concentrating on her singing career.

Her favorite room
Lynda tells In Touch that she spends a lot of time in her spacious living room, which she says has "an Arizona feel to it, along with French, Chinese, Danish and English influences."

Twenty-one years ago, Lynda and her husband, Robert Altman, built their dream home together, and they have lived in it ever since.

Lynda's sanctuary
"I sit in the master bedroom to read and watch television," she says. "It's really nice, and it's decorated with antiques I've picked up."

Her Gone With the Wind staircase
"It appears to float underneath itself as it goes around," Lynda explains about the striking staircase. "It was originally planned to be all marble, but it works better in wood."

"We went house-hunting, but never found exactly what we wanted," she tells In Touch. "So we decided to build it, and we did it in a way so that we make use of the whole house," which is decorated in an eclectic mix of styles.

"We had several decorators, but I had ideas of what I wanted. Now I know what works and what I will change one day," Lynda admits.

Still such a beautiful woman. I did an info-commercial with her in 1991. When she was off the camera, she was 100% "Mom" and was showing us photos of her children, as any proud parent would do. Once that camera was on her....100% professional. Had a ball with her during the filming.

Why is it, during the past few years, most female celebrities pose with their feet turned inward, sort of like pidgeon-toed? Are they TRYING to look like children?

That stance (with feet slightly turned in or 'pigeon toed) is deemed by many photographers as looking 'young and innocent'. It is supposed to give the legs a 'long lean' look for photos as well.

The stance is supposed to be similar to a person crossing their legs while standing, but without giving the look that the person needs to use the restroom (you know the look of a child crossing their legs because they need to go potty) The pigeon toed stance is a compromise of standing straight up and trying to cross the legs to appear 'young and innocent'.
