make a cork trivetYou, too, can make this fabulous trivet with leftover wine corks. Photo: CraftyNest

Boy, that Robin over at CraftyNest sure is crafty. She's always up to some sort of neat project. I thought her recent trivet tutorial was particularly craftastic and versatile. Not only can you use this tutorial to make the trivet, but I bet you could make placemats, coasters, wall hangings and much more!

To get started here's what you'll need.

Supplies
- 31 wine corks (all the same height) -- these will be fun to collect -- just drink 31 bottles of your favorite wine! Or, you can visit a specialty store to collect your corks.
- 1-1/2 yards of 7/8"-wide ribbon

Tools
- hot glue gun & glue
- scissors
- fine sand paper
- sharp serrated kitchen knife
- cutting board

Now that you're all ready, click over to CraftyNest for the full instructions.
