A little cottage in Maine is home to designer Angela Adams and many of her unique creations. Photo: Angela Adams
Angela Adams is well-known in the design world for her amazing rugs and her nature-inspired motifs. The Maine-based designer shared some
photos of her cottage/studio with Design*Sponge last fall. We loved her home so much that we asked if we could see a little bit more of her space, and Angela graciously complied.
With a closet full of supplies and a studio space like this, it's no wonder Angela is creative! Photo: Angela Adams
A closet full of paint, supplies and a bright red toolbox (above left) are enough to have this particular small apartment dweller drooling. Angela's cottage features a studio space where she works on the original designs for what later become finished products. The light, bright space is filled with plants that harken back to Angela's nature-themed prints.
A dress maker's dummy decked out in pompoms is a whimsical touch. Photo: Angela Adams
This cozy nook (above) with window seats and a table is at the far end of Angela's kitchen. Angela's husband, Sherwood Hammil, made her this beautiful table--No, we're not jealous, really, we swear. The feminine chairs are vintage Norman Cherner chairs.
An antique painting, a mid-century modern chair and two gorgeous Angela Adams rugs make this desk setting picture perfect. Photo: Angela Adams
Angela revealed to Design*Sponge that that vintage painting seen on the desk (above) is a portrait of her own grandmother at the tender age of 14. We love it when family heirlooms work their way into a room. The rugs are of course by Angela Adams -- They are the
Kelly design in Olive. The desk and chair are by Jean Prouve; the Standard Chair was originally designed for the Cite Universitaire de Nancy in 1934 and is
still manufactured today!

The Munjoy rug in the photo above left is by Angela Adams (and it happens to be
on sale on her site right now). At right is a
Knoll Womb chair, which was a gift to Angela and her husband from Angela's father-in-law. The jaw-droppingly cool tapestry is called Rain and is an Angela Adams original.
