OK, who first got the idea that the shape of a baby's head would make a great candlerholder? In any case, we find Areaware's version and the one from Mexico City-based DFC spotted at the Gift Fair, equally bizarre.

Having covered the New York Gift Show for years - this is inevitable and it's up to stores to decide whether they are going to sell the orginals or the cheaper knock-off's. I don't agree with it and have seen endless variations over the years but it's part of the industry and many other industries.
