There are so many fantastic organizer notebooks on the market, so I'm rounding up a few I've used in the past, including one you can make yourself, which I highly recommend!:
Finding the right household planner can be a tough gig. Here are my top five recommendations to keep your home organized in style! Photos: Amazon
1) The Handy Household Helper, $12, Amazon
Chronicle Books is my favorite publisher, hands down, so I'm normally on board with anything they release. This organizer was no exception, as I loved the bold, fun graphics and handy pockets for important documents. I'm a firm believer that organizing should be fun, and in this case, fun was definitely had.

2) Knock Knock Home Maintenance Organizer, $22, Amazon
This is my favorite pick for home maintenance information, including manuals, warranties, repair schedules, receipts and other household information that seems to pile up in your kitchen drawers. With plenty of space to jot notes and phone numbers, it's my go-to guide for anything home-related.

3) Life.Doc, $30, Amazon
What I love about Life.Doc is the binder format, complete with easy-to-access tabs. With plenty of space for medical organization, budgeting, emergency preparation and family caretaker tips, this is a Mom's dream. I've even bought a few as gifts, and each time, I get a thank you note six months later proclaiming that not a shred of paperwork has been lost since.

4) The Ultimate Home Journal & Organizer, $19, Amazon
If you're planning a renovation of any sort, this one's your book. Focused on home repairs, budgeting and decorating, this organizer houses a journal for notes, thoughts and inspiration tearsheets. I used this journal when planning a decor overhaul of my master bedroom and was soooo pleased with the results. A great find and worthy investment.

5) DIY Household Organizer, FREE
Here's the deal: Organizing is meant to make your life easier, so if it helps to create your own organizer, do it. There are plenty of tutorials and free downloadable worksheets for what to put in your home organizer, and I've listed just a few below. The most important thing to remember is to cut out the fat. If you don't need a take-out recipe organizer, leave it out. If you don't have kids, forget the caretaker information. Keep your organizer lean and trim so you can add your own essentials at a later date.
Here are a few must-haves for a complete organizer:
-Household Printables [including important contact numbers, household checklist and management.]
-Medicine Checklist
-Calendar, Organizer & Inventory Sheets
For inspiration, check out Put Your Life in a Binder and get to work! I'd recommend setting aside a weekend to plan and organize your notebook. You'll be filling it out in no time!
