Recreating Movie Interiors in Your Own Home

There's a reason that the interiors of movies and TV shows are so dreamy--they're fake. And created by genius set designers. But that doesn't mean that, with a little help, you can't create a decent approximation of Marsha Brady's bedroom or Scarlett O'Hara's parlor. After all, don't you work in an exact replica of The Office all day?

So I'm overjoyed that Design Sponge has launched a new weekly post called "Living In..." So far it has skillfully dissected Out of Africa, Mamma Mia, Little Women and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. Will writer Amy Merrick heed my call to do Dr. Strangelove's war room next? Time will tell.
