Still holding onto those passport gallery? It's time to organize! Photo: JasonRogersFooDogGiraffeBee, Flickr
First things first -- Get rid of the clutter
I have dozens of bad gallery that didn't quite come out right, or that are cropped funny. I need to bite the bullet and trash the ones I don't need. Hopefully, this will leave me with a workable stack that's actually worth filing. This is a good place for you to start as well.
Choose your organizational method
I plan to purchase a few cute recipe boxes like this simple stainless option and organize my gallery chronologically. Don't have the greatest memory? Try organizing them by colors, family members and/or big events. Feel free to re-label the recipe cards with simple post-its or a label maker.
From there, it's go time
Keep a makeup brush handy to dust off old photographs. If you're a scrapbooker, organize your gallery by event and include any special memorabilia you encounter along the way. Not one to keep sentimental things around? Consider purchasing a scanner and digitally archiving your gallery with a program like iPhoto. For a list of five of the best photo-organization programs, check out Lifehacker.
Collect the best ones along the way, and put them up
When you've weeded through your gallery and find a few you'd like to display, consider these fun display options. Or, contact Plywerk to have your photo mounted on a wooden canvas.
See? That wasn't so hard! Now on to the linen closet...
