Get the Look for Less: Luxury in Black and White

Libby Langdon is a fabulous interior designer and her new book, Libby Langdon's Small Space Solutions, is worth a look. So is this great bedroom. I spotted this beautiful space of hers and thought it would be a blast to try to get the same look, but on a budget. I had great luck.



From left, clockwise: This beautiful Seville Tufted Headboard in Queen is $299 at Target, and I bet you could replace the tufted buttons with black ones if you so desired; this Sundance paint by Benjamin Moore will brighten up any room without being blinding; the Art Deco Glass Lamp for $69.95 is a steal at Lamps Plus; Bring in some richness with the traditional Dover Side Table, $299, Crate and Barrel; The Hepburn Vine Arm Chair, $249.99, and matching Nesting Ottomans, $289.99, are just perfect for this room, available at Overstock; and finally, Caprice White with Black Square Pattern bedding in Queen, for just $119 at Amazon can't be beat -- it's an entire bed in a bag!

Total spent? Assuming the paint is about $15 for a gallon (x2) our total cost for this room is just $1,357. Wow! Now that's a makeover.
