Onetime pop-star Debbie (ahem, Deborah) Gibson just sold her home in the Hollywood Hills for $900,000, according to Big Time Listings--$375,000 less than she paid for it in 2005. Ouch! But she sold it just in time, says the Real Estalker; she had been under the threat of foreclosure since January 2009, when a "notice of default" was filed on the property. (Gibson's rep denies it.)
The 1,700-square-foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bath house includes a front yard, back yard, wood floors throughout, fireplace and, strangely, a urinal. There's also a mirrored piano, but Gibson will surely take that with her.

Exterior, although not much shown, looks sort of sweet, but the inside, has got to be worst decorated house I have ever seen, not to mention the small square footage!...anyone who paid $900K has got to have their head examined!
ReplyThere's a lot of inconsistency on the decor and some of it isn't my taste but she's the one who had to live there and be comfortable with it, so what do I care what it looks like? As far as the cost, it's expensive to live in CA - that's just what you pay to live there. Not a really 'noteworthy' home or news article...
ReplyHer furniture isn't depressing. It looks like stuff NORMAL people have in their home. That would suck to take such a loss on your home, but maybe the greedy state of California will wake up and realize that their property prices are incredibly stratospheric and adjust the cost of living there accordingly over time.
ReplyWe can't all be Al Gore (Green Man) with his $2000 monthly electric bills. I've seen 600 sq ft boxes on the ocean front up for sale for $1Million a few yrs ago. Her house in my neighborhood would sell for 100,000 today. Its all location, location, location.
ReplyI like this home also. It looks like she lived the way she wanted and did not let fame and fortune turn her into what she wasnt. I would take this home in a heart beat if it was in Montana or Wyoming.
ReplyWhat a dump! Why live in California, especially if you're essentially washed up in show business, and live in a hole like that when, for $250,000, you could buy a gorgeous home in some other, less "glamorous" state. She must have lost her mind, along with her money.
ReplyThis house looks as if some loved it and liked old fashioned. I have one a little larger and I do not have it beautiful for any one but me, but lots of friends and family love coming here. It is becauuse it is a HOME. If you do not like iit she does not haxe to care. It was hers. Leave out the insults.Just be happy she had it so long. And hope she will soon have another one. ReplyI think a combo of things about why the house looked like it needed a little help, I also think the person that paid that much was somebody that wanted to own a home that a celeb. once owened.
