According to L.L.Bean, the Home store was designed to have the feeling of an "old-time general store" with pressed tin ceilings and fixtures made from reclaimed and recycled materials that were locally sourced. The store's show floor is filled with cheerful painted wood furniture and beds dressed in Bean's classic quilts.
A statement from L.L.Bean's Senior Vice President and General Manager of Retail, Ken Kacere, notes that the store will also carry, "one-of-a-kind hand-made items, a selection of vintage pieces," in addition to the selection found in the catalog and online. We'd be really curious to know more about the vintage goods -- We're imagining well-loved wool blankets, old hurricane lamps and vintage thermoses.
We've long known that L.L.Bean was a great source for housewares. The venerable retailer sticks to classic designs and durable materials. We love their hooked rugs, flannel sheets and wool throws, not to mention the iconic Hudson's Bay Point® Blanket and the ever-chic Boat and Tote bags. Plus, like their clothing, Bean's home offerings are sold with a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee.

Giving out 500.00 gifts cards. I'm sure LLBean will surely not be in business long.
ReplyApparently you've never glanced at LL Bean's prices- after first glance of shirts at somewhere around $60.00, I realized this company was for a different clientelle...similar to the "Galleria Mall" variety. Limitless spenders.
ok this is not the first time LL Bean has given away gift cards of this amount. Each time they open a new store they do this same thing. And as a privately owned company they can stay open much longer.
The last time I was in Maine was for Dads funeral in '95 with a 3hr side trip to LL Bean...could have spent 3 days there. I miss Maine and its people...but I don't miss the midge flies, or the cold. North Ga is just like Maine without the people and without LL Bean.
ReplyOH! you are so right about the North parts of Georgia.
It is wonderful there. Glad you like it.
L.L.Bean is a wonderful place to shop. Also I am so glad that L. L. Bean is bring back the old items.
The old items were made so much better than the new items you find now.
Have a great weekend and keep enjoying North parts of Georgia.

ReplyCan you people not read? It says 500 gift cards with UP TO $500 on them. What that means is only ONE gift card will have $500 on it the rest will have a $1-$5 on them. Belk would be another store who does the same thing.
ReplyI know! Don't they just drive you crazy?!!
L.L. Bean is a company that is for people that desire quality over quanity.I have bought many items from them over the years and still amd using them today.I only wish they opened this store in PA so I could shop there. I think they have the best quality ever. You get what you pay for.
ReplyI can understand how LL Bean is able to give anything away. It is from the 30% interest charged on the credit cards offered from LL Bean. This company is one who takes advantage of the consumer. I will be closing my account shortly and no longer buy things from such an organization, regardless of quality or price. This needs to stop!
ReplyI know how LL Bean is able to offer anything for free. It is from the 30%.interest on credit cards issued by LL Bean. This is the type of company the federal government wants to stop because they take advantage of the consumer. I will no longer purchase items from LL Bean, regardless of quality or price. This is not a company who is ethical with their customers.
ReplyThe important words here are "up to $500" for the gift cards. I really doubt there will be many that are actually worth $500.
