With the crypt adjacent to Marilyn Monroe's tombstone being offered for millions of dollars, it seems a piece of rock legend memorabilia for $299K is just chump change. In the West End section of Long Branch, New Jersey lies the former home of rock-n-roll legend Bruce Springsteen. In fact, Springsteen allegedly wrote his hit single "Born to Run" in the back bedroom of this tiny bungalow.

Believe it or not, the comps in the area show that $299,000 for the home isn't as inflated as you'd think. With most area bungalows selling for $250K, the price tag for Springsteen fame (and name!) is just $49,000. A small price to pay considering Britney Spear's used gum was once listed on eBay for $14,000.

So, if you're a fan of The Boss and considering a move to New Jersey, swipe up this piece of history. You never know what you may find from Springsteen's "Glory Days."

We went past it and checked with the real estate company around the block. It's zoned commercial, so the land underneath this cute little place is worth more than the asking! And "allegedly wrote the hit single Born to Run" is incorrect - Bruce is on film in the 2005 documentary he issued with the re-release of Born to Run saying "This is where I lived when I wrote the whole Born to Run album."

Definitely - this is the place and not just the one song. I wonder if you can feel the vibes inside. I know Bob Dylan was picked up by the Long Branch Police Department this summer looking for this house. I guess he was a block over on West End Ave instead of West End Court.
