Yeah that Twitter.

The Goods
Retailers have started to realize that lots and lots of people are on Twitter, all day every day. Therefore, it's become a huge place to market deals, sales and even exclusive discounts and giveaways.

The Secret
We know Twitter is no secret, but finding deals on Twitter is a lot harder than just signing up for an account. You've got to know who is the best sources for deals. There are two ways to find great deals on Twitter: 1) Direct from retailers 2) An aggregate deal service.

Things to Know
So, whose got the best Twitter streams to follow?

Well, if you're looking for direct deals from retailers, you have to follow @Overstock. They have this great thing called #winsday (that # sign is called a hashtag. Read more about hashtags here) on Wednesdays where they ask you to retweet something for a chance to win a prize. They recently gave away a $100 Overstock gift card!

1-800-FLOWERS.COM also has a Twitter account, @1800flowers, where they also give away prizes for followers' birthdays.

Both KMart and Walmart have Twitter streams specifically for announcing hot deals and new releases: @KMartDealsnNews and @WalmartSpecials. The same goes for @JetBlueCheeps, @Kohls_Official and @NeweggHotDeals.

And, last but not least, my favorite source for deals, CheepTweet, a deal aggregator service that finds all the good stuff on Twitter and brings it all together for you. You can follow them @CheapTweet.

Don't forget to follow @ShelterPop!
