I see a lot of nice houses. But I've never seen anything as wonderful as this. I live in Brooklyn, where this penthouse will undoubtedly set the record for most expensive home sale ever in the borough. (It's currently on sale for $25 million, but even if it's reduced, it's likely to more than double the previous record of $11 million, according to the New York Times.) My Caribbean neighborhood, just a long walk away, feels light years apart. That little-bit-of-everything quality is one of the nice things about Brooklyn, though.

What do you think? Do you like the clocks, or would you rather forget what time it is when you get home and kick off your shoes?

Brooklyns $25 Million Clocktower Penthouse

This triplex penthouse apartment in Brooklyn could become the borough's most expensive residential sale ever (by more than double) if it goes for its asking price of $25 million. The draw is its position in a clock tower.

Fourteen-foot tall clock faces on each of the main floor's walls provide unparalleled views of New York City.

Of course, floor-to-ceiling windows unobstructed by ticking clock hands also offer views of five bridges and the Manhattan skyline.

The penthouse consists of three floors, connected by a winding staircase and a glass elevator. The first is 3,000-square-feet, the second is 2,300-square-feet and the third floor loft is 988-square-feet.

You'd need some custom curtains if you dared to cover up those clocks.

Behind the old-fashioned clock faces are ultra-modern furnishings and bathroom fixtures.

You'd always know when it was time for dinner in the clock tower's minimalist kitchen.

The building is officially called One Main Street, or the ClockTower Building, but no one would get lost if you told them, "I live in the clock tower."

Who can plan on making $1.6 million or more for 30 straight years? Really, I'm interested in who can buy this stuff.

I think a Mitchell Lama apartment say on Roosevelt Island with a water view would be so much nice in every respect, particularly the view, not just the cost
