This initiative supports children living in poverty by providing them with nutritious snacks and a chance to be physically active. Frigidaire has committed to raise $250,000 for Save the Children and Garner is signed on as a spokesperson. For every new Frigidaire Professional double wall oven purchased, Frigidaire will donate $100 to Save the Children's U.S. programs.

Frigidaire is also raising money in a creative way. They are asking people to pledge to use the time we gain when we turn the clocks back on November 1st for daylight saving time to make "CHANGE" for children. The idea is you'll spend an hour doing something that helps kids. To pledge, you write your vow on your hand, take a photo of it and upload the image to Frigidaire's pledge gallery. For every pledge made, Frigidaire will donate $1 to Save the Children.
The CHANGE program coincides with Frigidaire's largest product launch to-date, which include 250 appliances, including cooking ranges, ovens, gas, cooktops, warmer drawers, microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers. The new products all incorporate time-saving technology.

Oh wow Frigidaire, a whole $250,000? Why not match your CEO's 2009 bonus you cheapskates.

IT'S REALLY TOO BAD THAT YOU GAVE UP THE QUALITY WHEN YOU BOUGHT FRIGIDAIRE FROM GENERAL MOTORS.
MY LAST PURCHASE WAS A 20 FT. FREEZER THAT I THOUGHT WAS WORKING LIKE I EXPECTED WITH A SETTING OF 4. I HAD TO RESET TO 2 SO EVERYTHING WOULD NOT OVER FREEZE. BEFORE THE 5 YEAR WARANTEE RAN OUT, THE COMPRESSOR GAVE UP AND THE SO CALLED FACTORY REPLACEMENT CAN'T COOL BEYOND A SETTING OF 1. I WAS TOLD THAT THE COMPRESSOR WAS NEW AND THE RIGHT PART NUMBER THE FACTORY SERVICE MAN SAID.
THERE HAS BEEN OTHER THINGS LIKE DOOR HANDLES BREAKING BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE OF PLASTIC. NO
ROLLERS FOR EASY CLEANING. BELIEVE ME EVERY
REFRIDGERATOR NEED TO BE CLEANED NEXT TO THE FLOOR QUITE OFTEN.
MY OTHER 20 FT, REFRIDGERATOR PURCHASED IN THE STATES 8 YEARS PREVIOUS TO THE FREEZER, NOW CLOSE TO 20 YEARS IS WORKING JUST FINE.
I'M NOW SKEPTICAL OF THE FRIGIDAIRE PRODUCTS AND THE FACTORY SERVICE. BUT WHO REALLY CARES, COST SAVINGS IS EVERYTHING, EVEN IF IT DOESN'T REALLY DO THE JOB.

I purchased a Frigidaire electric range that has to be the worst. The rear burner comes on by itself, very dangerous. I wrote Frigidaire about this problem but they would not reply. Trying to keep the top of this stove clean is an everyday job requiring special cleaner/cleanser that is not cheap. This will be my last Frigidaire appliance.

Mr. Clean Eraser works good. I sometimes have to take a straight razor and gently scrape some of the stuff off. I did use one of those scrubbies (and a little elbow grease) last night and it worked good, too.

My aunt referred to a lot of things by brand name. To her, a refrigerator was a "Frigidaire" and antifreeze was "Prestone."

TOO BAD FRIGIDAIRE IS NO LONGER AMERICAN-OWNED, BUT ANYTHING THAT GETS AROUND FROM MAKING YOUR PURCHASES FROM GE IS GOOD. GENERAL ELECTRIC IS CONNECTED TO THE WHITE HOUSE OBAMA THUGGERY MACHINE.

I bought a frigidaire a few years ago to replace my Kenmore- 25 yrs old and still working. The new frigidaire defrost ran down under the crispers. When I called, they knew all about it and said...oh, you need the (whatever) installed in the back. Some guy came, drilled a hole in the back and ran a tube down so the defrost could come out. They KNEW the defect was there when it was sold. I complained that it should have been fixed at the factory and not sold like that. I mean, it works, but... I think they count on you not finding it until the warranty is up so they won't have to fix it. No more frigidaires here. Next time, I'll get a different kind. No kind of advertising makes any difference. If the product is defective, it's defective.

Bought a frigidaire 4.0 cubic fridge in May 09 for my vacation home in Florida. Went back in September only to find it not working. Power was on since light was working but would not chill. Compressor was very hot to the touch. Took out warranty information and guess what? The warranty was for 90 days. Never heard of such a thing. I then bought a GE for 30% less in price which came with a 1 year manufactures warranty (which usually is the industry standard) and for another ten bucks got an additional year. I would never buy another Frigidaire product in my life. They sell crap.

We remodeled our kitchen two years ago and bought an oven, exhaust fan, dishwasher and freezer from this manufacturer. All came with varying defective issues. We did not have an oven for almost two years and now are on our third replacement. The freezer didn't hold it's temp and we lost a freezer full of food (they finally sent us a check for $100 to replace the $800 of food we lost!) and it was replaced finally. The exhaust fan was missing the part that exhausts externally. And now the dishwasher doesn't work - parts on backorder.........so we are going on two months without a dishwasher. So that is 4 for 4 and we will never purchase from the company again.
They need MORE than a celeb spokesperson, maybe quality controll and customer service departments would be more helpful. Even the repairman couldn't get answers from them and some parts came in correct packaging but were for a Sears appliance.

I bought a Figidare refrigerator 5 years ago. It is cheaply made and shows it. The plastic holding up the shelves and surrounding them has broken and I now have very limited shelf space because the shelves are useless! I would never buy another Frigidaire product and I have shared my feelings with many others about this inferior product.

We got all Frigidare appliances and thought we were getting the best. There is NO REPAIR COMPANY near us. Someone has to come from fifty miles away and charge us $75 to get to our door. Then the fun begins. They always have to return with parts. Another $75 plus the part and time spent repairing appliance. Also, the burner on our range melted when left on after using. What else? We have fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer.

Frigidaire must make ovens too, case Jen is HOT, HOT, HOT!!! I've seen her on a few late night talk show and she seems just a sweet and nice as she looks. Frigidaire should go a long way with her in their ads.
