Take the arrow trend literally with these arrow home decor items.
The Golden Arrow Table (above left) by Timothy Corrigan is in line with this new trend. However, the arrow base is inspired by the 1930s and 40s in Europe, when the arrow was previously a popular decor motif. They were designed for the Architectural Digest Green Room at the 2007 Emmy Awards where they were apparently a huge hit among TV stars. Do you think you'd ever love this trend enough to spend $2,500 on a table?
The vintage arrow sets (above right) from Sweetshorn on Etsy were such a huge hit that they're sold out now. I hope she lists more soon!
Darts are in this fall too, but as accents for any room -- not just your game room!
Each of these unique arrow tables are made from real arrows! Photo: Fernando Brizio
Portuguese designer Fernando Brizio's Target table will be shown at the "Lapse in Time" exhibition at this year's Experimentadesign Lisboa. What do you think of this table -- I kind of like it, but I would really need to think about how it should be positioned in a room. It could be fantastic in a game room, but I think the designer expected it to be a more sophisticated piece to make a statement. Each table is unique in that arrows are shot into a target then flipped over so the "target" serves as the top of the table, while the arrows make up the base.
Would you put any of these in your home?
