PANTONE Launches Color Application for iPhone

PANTONE, the designer's best friend, has launched myPANTONE, a brand new iPhone and iPod Touch application. The application, which launched at the end of September, allows users to capture or extract colors from new or existing gallery and match them with the closest PANTONE color.

You can create color schemes from the all of the PANTONE libraries, including the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM® (coated, uncoated and matte) and PANTONE FASHION + HOME (paper and cotton). You can share your colors with friends or clients by emailing an HTML image of your palette, or special files such as Adobe® Creative Suite®, QuarkXPress® and CorelDraw®, or upload to the myPANTONE.com palette sharing web site. And, you can share them on Facebook and Twitter instantly.

While the application is a must for designers, PANTONE is becoming increasingly popular with the mainstream through the launch of their fun accessories line.
