WE'RE SORRY, BUT THIS GIVEAWAY IS OVER. CHECK BACK SOON FOR ANOTHER GREAT GIVEAWAY.
The world-famous Billy bookcase from IKEA is turning 30 this year, and the company is pulling out all the stops to celebrate. (Shouldn't a 30-year-old graduate to the more sophisticated "Bill"? No matter.) For a limited time--now until they run out (or the end of January 2010)--IKEA is selling two patterned versions and we're giving one of them to one of you!
Forget birch veneer. We're offering up the new BILLY JÄDER, covered in graffiti of William Shakespeare's love sonnets. Designer Annika Bryngelson says she had a romantic young man in mind when she was working on this, but we think anyone with a children's room or a modern aesthetic could pull it off.
It measures 31.5" wide x 79.5" high x 11" deep and it's also available in green print on white and orange print on white. Since the Billy was designed in 1979, IKEA has sold 41 million of them. According to IKEA, those 41 million bookcases laid end to end would wrap around the world twice. It boggles the mind.

My favorite book is LETTERS TO A YOUNG POET, by Rainier Maria Rilke. It speaks to you (me, anyway) whether you are young or not, poet or not.
ReplyMy favorite book of all time is Kurt Vonnegut's Breakfast of Champions
ReplyMy favorite book is I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb.
ReplyMy favorite book(s) are Pillars of the Earth, and I also really liked the sequel, but since I only read it the one time, I forget it's name. Also loved the Sheild of Three Lions. Sorry, it's hard to narrow all the greats down to one favorite.
ReplyIt's so hard to choose! I have about 50 favorite books (which is why I need another bookcase!). Let's go with an almost obvious one - The Host by Stephenie Meyer (also author of Twilight books). If you like Twilight but haven't read The Host, what are you waiting for? Get to the bookstore right now!
ReplyMy fave book is The Alchemist

ReplyMy favorite book of all time is where the red fern grows
ReplyEven though I have read it at least 50 times I still start balling like a baby when the sad part hits. You would think since I know its comming I could get a grip but noooooooooooo
Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham.
Replythe god delusion - richard dawkins
ReplyMy favorite book is Digital Hood by P.J. Rondinone. This book is a great book but more importantly the author was my professor and he was the most amazing person on earth. He was the reason that I became a teacher. He made learning fun and interesting. When he passed away a piece of my heart died with him.
