Rinnai is a company based in Japan that manufactures products as varied as water heaters, bath boilers, direct-vent wall furnaces, fan heaters, table stoves, dishwashers, dryers and rice cookers. It is best known for its tankless water heaters.
Rinnai water heaters will help you "take a shower, wash dishes and do laundry all at the same time," according to the company. Unlike tank water heaters, Rinnai's tankless verisions don't run out and only heat water when it's needed. Tankless water heaters are sometimes referred to as "on-demand" water heaters.
The Daily Green call tankless water heaters "one of the quickest and easiest energy pay-offs in the modern world." It's not surprising that those who want to cut back on water and energy waste are giving tankless water heaters, like the Rinnai heater seen here, a second look. Consumer Reports takes a closer look at the pros and cons of going tankless.
Rinnai doesn't sell its products online (and discourages dealers from doing so) because, for safety reasons, it suggests that they are installed by professional contractors and plumbers. Find a Rinnai dealer through the company's website.
