The singer's recent auction of more than 500 personal items at Julien's Auctions raised just over $573k for the Streisand Foundation, a nonprofit that supports environmental and women's health programs. Dating to 1972, her Yamaha Baby Grand piano in black lacquer comes with the matching bench and has an estimated value of $8000 to $10,000. The piece went for a whopping $11,250.

This Dirk Van Erp table lamp has a teardrop-shaped hammered copper base and a four-panel mica lined shade. The lamp was supposed to be valued at $12,000 to $18,000 but someone must have really loved it because it ended up being one of the most successful pieces at the auction, bringing in $30,000!

She is not only a fantastic singer, but a very good human being.

What is with the black ribbon Barbra always wears around her neck? As along as 60 years ago parents would put a black velvet ribbon around their babies necks to help ease the discomfort of teething. Yes, it made doctors stifle a snicker and roll their eyes. But ever time I see someone with a black ribbon around their neck I cannot help but remember that "old wives tale" and wonder if they are cutting teeth?

I want to know if there is any way of knowing if there is still anything that can be bought? I'd be curious to see a list of items and maybe the asking prices. Being a fan of hers for her entire career I'd like to have something maybe that was hers other than the autograph that I have of her on an old cassette of hers.

I wasn't crazy about the couches but I sure love that room shown in picture 11. It's totally my style - if I had the money to decorate that way. Gorgeous.
