A candy display

If you're planning a Halloween party this fall, a creepy candy buffet is a great addition to the party. To create this spook-tacular display, I used three glass jars that I had around the house. Then I shopped for black and white candy (I used licorice, marshmallows and white jelly beans, but any black and white sweets will do the trick). To create this graphic display, I carefully layered the candies, which created a striped effect in each jar.

Next, I created labels for each jar that spell out the contents of each vessel. I used gift tags with a decorative border and simply punched a hole in each tag's corner to accommodate a ribbon, but any small piece of cardstock will do. Get creative with your labeling, "Deadly Nightshade Drops" and "Eye of Newt Balls" are fun tags for traditional treats -- the creepier the better!
