Let's talk hardwood flooring. It can be sooo hard to choose what type of floor you want in your space, and of course -- the floor you want is not always the most functional, nor is it usually in your desired price range. Luckily, we at ShelterPop are going to start breaking down a few popular flooring options with some important pros and cons for you to keep in mind next time you consider a change in flooring.
We'll start with hardwood floors (my favorite!):
PROS:
1. Easy to clean. A true mop-n-go floor, hardwood floors are a cake walk to keep clean.
2. Durable. Real hardwood floors are super durable so those new stilettos won't dent your floors.
3. Beautiful. It's true; a rare woman can resist a lovely, gleaming hardwood floor.
4. Value. A home with hardwood floors will always be in style, so you're adding value to your home by opting for hardwood floors.
CONS:
1. Price. Hardwood floors can get insanely pricey, mainly due to installation fees and such.
2. Noise. Hardwood floors aren't necessarily known for their silence factor, so if you have kids, pets or a large space, they may not be the best option.
3. Refinishing. Refinishing is sometimes necessary, and refinishing hardwood floors can be costly.
Now, let's talk price. I've never seen a better price breakdown than HardwoodInstaller.com, which details installation costs and hidden fees. Check it out before you decide which kind of hardwood floor is right for you --- the price could make all the difference!
Best of luck! Next flooring option up? Laminate! Stay tuned.
