Rachael Ray and Martha Stewart Together At Last

Tomorrow will mark a first for television: Martha Stewart and Rachael Ray are going to appear together on The Martha Stewart Show.

While both of the domestic divas dominate cookbook sections at bookstores and both have self-titled lifestyle magazines, their individual approaches to the domestic arts couldn't be different. Blonde vs. brunette, tall vs. petite, ice queen vs. girl-next-door. Martha is organic, crème fraiche, Rachel is whipped cream from a can. Martha is a pale, robin's egg blue, Rachael is a bright, bold orange.

It will be interesting to watch Martha show Rachael how to make an apple-blackberry pie "perfect for the holidays," which is what a promotional email for the show promises. Especially since we think of Martha making homemade pate brisee, while Rachel is more likely to use frozen, graham cracker pie crust. Will they have fun? Will they fight? Will Rachael teach Martha some tricks?
