Whatever the case, I can almost guarantee that when the stork brings me a child of my own, the babe will be greeted with a grown-up nursery not unlike a few of the following awesome spaces. Since we're giving away some super stylish nursery products this week, we decided to scour the web for the coolest nurseries around. Here's what we found.
1. Pop Art Pacifier
Sure, space is always an issue when decorating a child's space, but this New York family got creative. With six children and one tiny New York space, the Novogratzes divided and conquered. By removing the walls on their second story residence, they created a dorm-room-like setting for all six children. The space is accented with modern touches, such as this bold pop art print in the center of the room.

2. Nature Nook
This woodsy getaway is perfect for your future outdoor enthusiast, and it's modern enough that it won't make you hurl. By adding a few mature touches (recognize the Thorsten van Elten coat rack?) and retro lighting, the space feels updated and less...baby-ish.
Since you'll be spending a lot of 3am feedings in the nursery, why not make it hip enough to love?
Make the look work by keeping surrounding decor neutral and functional. Try experimenting with various patterns, textures and fabrics. In this nursery, wicker, rattan, cotton and flokati keep the wood paneling from feeling too sparse and give the room a cozy aesthetic.
3. Secondhand Style
When decorating a nursery, you're almost guaranteed to be stuck with some hand-me-downs, which are awesome for the budget, but sometimes less awesome for aesthetic reasons.

Yet by investing in one super-glam piece, you'll bring those second-hand items into the 20th century. In this space, a Tord Boontje chandelier shines new light onto a few vintage pieces. And at only $69, the pretty fixture won't break the bank.
Add a few stylish vintage items in the mix, like the collegiate-inspired baby blanket from this photo. By sticking with a basic color scheme of blues, whites, browns and a few pops of green, the room's decor feels coordinated and put together.
4. Cozy Cuddlebug
Babies are sensitive to touch, so why not incorporate a few cozy fabrics into your design? Here, a felt bassinet keeps your little one cooing with delight while a tactile-inspired sandbox grounds the space.
How's that for inspiration? But hey, don't throw away all that Sesame Street decor. I hear Big Bird's coming back in style...
