Target to Give Away Marcel Wanders Bags On Black Friday
Categories: Shopping
It's a Black Friday free-for-all at Target! On Black Friday, the first 500 Target shoppers at all Target stores across the country will receive a special free gift. (You'll have to be a real early bird to catch this worm: All 17,000 Target stores will open at 5:00 a.m. this Friday!) The big box chain is giving away limited-edition, reusable shopping bags designed by their designer du jour, Marcel Wanders. As we reported earlier this month, the Dutch designer has created a cheap-chic line of holiday decorations and tabletop items for Target
Be warned, Target is apparently expecting some serious crowds, despite the weak economy. A press statement about the Marcel Wanders totes noted that, "Store maps will also be handed out to guests upon arrival to help them optimize their Black Friday shopping experience."
This is a gift that will keep on giving throughout the year, Target customers can use their new Marcel Wanders-designed bag (or any reusable bag) to receive a five-cent discount per bag used off their bill as part of Target's ongoing reusable bag program.
Interested in other Back Friday deals? Target is also offering $3 appliances on Black Friday and Ikea's dishing discounts throughout the weekend.

Ok, first, there are nowhere near 17,000 Target stores. There are 1,699 Target stores; and they do NOT all open at 5am.

At 5:00am I was happily asleep. From now until Dec.24th every retail store in America will be in constant sale mode. No way would I have been out there with those lunatics!

Talk about Target and no Salvation Army bell ringer (I do agree with you), I heard that Best Buy ordered their employees to not wish customers a Merry Christmas, but has a Happy something for an Islamic holiday that occurs today.......! No Best Buy for me any more.

I am soooooo sick of everyone else's holidays taking priority over our CHRISTMAS. Any store that does not say Merry Christmas, will not get my business either.
