Store Your Paperwork On a Fabric Shelf?
Categories: Decorating, Cleaning & Storage
I love sifting through the endless inspiration on Desire to Inspire and last week, this particular post on photographer Louis Lemaire caught my eye. Sure, the photography is fabulous, but what struck me about his portfolio was actually one specific photo: this one. Now I'm no fashion designer (verrry far from it!), but how glorious would it be to store your sketches on ribbons as shown?
Here's what I'm thinking:
1. If you have columns like the space pictured, tie a few heavy ribbons (I love this satin ribbon in silver!) and fasten your artwork, paperwork or to do list to the ribbons with bulldog clips.
2. No columns? No problem. I'd re-create the look with a vintage ladder and miniature clothespins for a country-inspired aesthetic.
3. Want something less expensive and less... permanent? I'd transform the front of my desk by draping Japanese masking tape around the front and using paperclips to fasten my inspirational tear sheets.
Consider this project a 3D inspiration board. After all, there's nothing flat about an inspirational image!
