We spotted these intricately carved cardboard tubes (above) by Japanese artists Yuken Teryua on Inhabitat.com. Teryua also turns other would-be trash, like used shopping bags and pizza boxes, into art.
A D.I.Y. idea for cardboard tubes also appeared on Design*Sponge recently; it originally appeared on Growing Up Creative as the first of a series of Eco Kids Craft posts. The toilet paper roll flowers are a sweet and simple way to decorate a wall.
Last but not least, is an easy project from Photojojo, for whom we professed our love back in July. Their idea for cardboard ring frames is another smart way to reuse your toilet paper tubes.

These are great, especially the photo ones. I hate to throw my tubes away, we usually make tubes for children to listen with, make x-mas ornaments, kaledioscopes, and tunnels for matchbox cars or marbles to roll through.
ReplyHOW VERY CREATIVE----LOVE IT. I'M A FIRM BELIEVER IN RECYCLING---HAVE BEEN ALL MY LIFE. ALWAYS THINKING OF WHAT I CAN MAKE OUT OF THIS OR THAT.
ReplyMeeeeee tooooooo !
I TOO THOUGHT WHAT I COULD DO WITH THEM ! GREAT IDEA
This is NOT "beautiful" art. It looks like, well, trash on a wall.
ReplyI can't believe how amazing life is...We all have our own opinions and different insights on EVERYTHING! It makes a person like myself think harder about what I say before I comment..thank you, Shir! =)
