Now that Nicolas Cage's compulsive spending problems have surfaced, we're all well aware of the actor's unhealthy affection for real estate. In fact, the New York Post reported that in 2008 Cage owned a total of 15 homes. At the same time. "I find ways of spending money that mystifies everybody around me," Cage once said.

According to a counter lawsuit filed by his former business manager, Cage bought 3 houses for $33 million, 22 cars and 47 works of art -- all in the same year. He also owned four yachts, an island in the Bahamas and a Gulfstream jet.

But now Cage is in some serious debt. In November the National Treasure star foreclosed on two homes in The Big Easy and he owes the IRS over $6 million in back taxes on his Las Vegas mega-mansion. It made me wonder the status of his other homes, which have ranged from German castle to a mansion in the Bahamas -- and seemingly everything between.

Since there have been so many houses to keep track of, we decided to play a game: What exactly is left in Cage's once high rolling real estate portfolio? Here's what we found.

Las Vegas, Nevada
Currently listed for $9.49 million, Cage purchased this sprawling mansion in Las Vegas for $8.5 million in 2006. According to The Luxist, Cage's seven-bedroom home isn't particularly notable, boasting a "blandly extravagant" aesthetic.

Bel Air, California
Cage's vintage Tudor in Bel Air, previously owned by both Dean Martin and Tom Jones, was purchased in 1998. According to Curbed LA, he sold it in October.

Middletown, Rhode Island
Cage's lavish 12-bedroom home in Rhode Island was purchased in 2005 for $15.7 million. Serial flipper Cage is hoping to sell it for $12 million, even though he replaced the gorgeous library with a flat-screen-TV dining room. Oh, Cage.

Bahamas -- A Private Island
Purchased for an estimated $3 million, Cage does, indeed, have his own private island, perfect for counting his debts and debtors. And he's apparently trying to unload this property as well.

Milford Castle, Bath, England
Cage recently sold the castle near Bath, England he purchased in 2007. Are you keeping up with me here?

Tilham Barn, Baltonsborough, England
This home is more modest, acquired in June 2006. According to recent reports, he still owns it.

New York City, NY
Nicolas Cage's NYC apartment went back on the market after he pulled the property in 2008 -- and it sold in November. The two 48th floor condos at the Olympic Tower at 641 Fifth Avenue sold for $7.5 million.

I am fairly certain that he also owns a waterfront home on Balboa Island at Newport Beach, California as I have seen him there from time-to-time. His yacht is berthed there also. I believe this is where he chased a burgular out of his house when he was totally naked.

I don't know why people are so concern about Mr. Cage having so many properties, obviously he had worked hard and he can spend his money how ever he wants to, any smart person would have done the same thing don't you think.
before the economy started going down every body used to say. Oh if you have money invest in real estate now that every body is screw up. is not his fault he is even a victim of the situation now.

I agree with you, Monica. He earned the money so it was his to spend. Plus... if not for the government's stupidity and the bank's poor lending practices, the properties would have been good investments.

Yes John, he does own a home in Newport Beach with the yacht berthed right there at the dock. I've seen them both.

May, you wish that he could give some 'moneys' to charity? You got your hand out? How do know he doesn't... or are you jus' talkin' bout Sonny & Cher's daughter? That's Charity, don't ya' know!

What a DREAM MAN... why wouldn't he have DREAM homes? I could live and die just to look into those BIG BLUES (his eyes) all day long ... He's what I call a REAL MAN !

If Nicolas Cage is so willing to purchases these expensive homes maybe he should try using his money to help people who can't afford homes. I love the home in Las Vegas but for someone like me who can't afford a home like that I would think he would use his money for others instead of buying up millions of dollars in homes he will never live in or ever visit. I am sorry but buying up homes for millions of dollars seems a little stupid to me. Owning one home would be a smarter buy then all these homes he will never use or live in. Come on Nicolas wake up. I can see your wife isn't helping you with your problem of buying up million dollars homes or your spending habits. You need help before you go under totally.
