Kitchen Ideas: A Smarter Solution to Food Storage

Living in an apartment is challenging when it comes to storage, especially in the kitchen. Kitchen counter space seems like a luxury in my apartment. In fact, I have a separate piece of furniture that I purchased to help maximize storage and prep space.

I'm sure many of you can sympathize! That's why I got excited about this storage saving solution I discovered over on Yanko Design. SmartSpace by Zevro is a wall-mounted system that puts everything in its place!

The unit comes in three variations: single wall-mount, triple wall-mount and a countertop version. The wall-mounted one is ideal; if you can fit it on your wall, you don't use any kitchen counter space at all. A fun extra: Each container comes with a measuring cup that fits on each canister. A quick twist of the handle dispenses approximately one ounce of food, with each canister holding up to 13 ounces.


So you're thinking, but how will my food stay fresh? Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. According to the manufacturer, dry foods like cereal or rice and beans will be kept fresh for up to 45 days. (I wouldn't leave food in them that you don't often use.)
