What goes around comes around. This is true with more than just karma.

Sherwin-Williams is bringing the colors of our past into our present. Their Today's Colors collection consists of 24 colors inspired by vintage prints and cherished heirlooms.

Jackie Jordan, Sherwin-Williams' director of color marketing, shed some light on the purpose behind the new collection:
"In uncertain times, we find comfort in the memories and traditions that provide us with a sense of solid ground. Color plays a key role in triggering our nostalgia, and this collection is a rediscovery of the sights, sounds, smells -- and hues -- of the past."

Can a grouping of colors selected by strangers have an impact on the unique individual? You decide. Take a look at the collection's four palettes – Rooted (above), Treasured, Simplified and Refreshed – and see if fond (or otherwise) memories come to mind.

Want to see how these colors would look in your home? Forget paint samples – that's so spring 2009. Instead, head to Sherwin-Williams' Color Visualizer and upload a photo of your color-lacking room to test out this collection and Sherwin-Williams' more than 1,500 other colors. When you're done, print out the color information and a coupon to take to your local paint store.
