The couple loves spending time in their home, hanging out with their kitties, reading, drinking tea and listening to music. Sounds like a perfect life -- let me dig out my passport! First, let's take a spin around their home.
About two years ago, the pair renovated their kitchen (pictured above). "We absolutely love it," says Heather. "The problem is, we love it so much that we'll probably never be able to leave this apartment. We'll have to install a chairlift in the stairwell when we get too old and rickety to climb the three flights of stairs."
The kitchen required quite a major revamp of the space, as it used to be their second bedroom, and what was the kitchen is now the study. Heather, who loves incorporating vintage and thrift store finds into the decor, decorated the kitchen with lots of vintage finds, like charming pots and mugs (shown below).

The couple doesn't have a formal dining area, but they do have an amazing gateleg table (top photo, right) that they received as an engagement present from Heather's parents. It folds away neatly during the day, and when it's time to eat, they set it up again. The chairs are vintage Swedish from the 50's, and were painted cream when they bought them.
At the time the couple could really only afford one of them, but Heather had the mixed fortune of being knocked down by a car, which resulted in a payout from the Road Accident Fund. After the doctors' bills had been paid, the two decided to invest the rest in the chairs. A happy accident? Above the table hang two watercolors by their friend and fine artist, Gabrielle Raaff.

Their much adored cats, Monkey and Nanook, love to doze away the mornings in the bedroom, but that's probably due to the abundant sunshine, not the decor. After getting a wonderful Afghani rug on sale, the pair got a bit stuck decorating the bedroom. Heather painted the wall chocolate brown, and Paul made the beautiful bed (handy!). Heather framed Paul's oversized linocut, which leans against the wall, as it's too heavy to hang (MoMA in NYC has one of this edition as well. See more of Paul's work at his website.) The photo on the bedside table (below, right) is from another artist friend, Dave Southwood.
