Thousands upon thousands of men (and I'm sure just as many women) would kill to get inside Catherine Zeta Jones' dressing room on the Broadway set of Stephen Sondheim's "A Little Night Music." But we're most interested -- of course -- in how she decorated the space.

According to InStyle.com, the oh-so-fabulous Mrs. Michael Douglas purchased a few photographs taken by Matt Schwartz to hang in her dressing room.

But you see, my dear readers, I'm a hard-hitting journalist, so I decided it was necessary to do some sleuthing to dig up the facts. Which Matt Schwartz prints did she choose, and who is this mystery photographer to the stars? (Turns out Schwartz also has sold to Tiffany Amber-Thiessen, hence the plurality.)

So I went and spoke with the photographer in the flesh. See his work below.

Schwartz, a Brooklyn-born artist, is at once charming and annoyingly humble – his stuff is far too good to be shy about it. He started as a writer and musician, then found himself taking gallery for a living (without any formal training, mind you).

"It's really rewarding now when people tell me my images are lyrical," he says.

About five years ago Schwartz began taking Polaroid shots and transferring them to watercolor paper, which achieves his now-signature grainy, dreamy images.

He has no idea how Zeta Jones found his work, and he wasn't even quite sure who she was at first (there's that humility again). But what he does know is that he couldn't really imagine being in any other profession. "I have to create," he says. "To the point where I ask the ideas to stop coming so I can sleep."

So what's next for this sleep-deprived photographer? Newly single Schwartz (yeah ladies, he ain't bad looking either) plans to continue adding to his Polaroid-transfer collection by perhaps traveling the world, catching some surf and finding more muses. So be on the lookout for more good stuff to come.

Oh, one more thing. Hey Matt: Your girl in field print is now hanging in my entryway, so feel free to add me to your list of celebrity clients. I won't mind.

These are beautiful. I hope he stocked up on Polaroid Film & Cameras. They either went out of Business earlier this year, or are shortly to do so. The same with Kodak. Very sad that Kodachrome is about to vanish. This is what the advent of the Internet has done to long standing Businesses, especially Imagery. There will never be the allure that the film photo captures in a digital print. I think it has to do with knowing that a human hand, a human spirit, is at much at work in the printing as the film.
