Fall for felt! With the cold weather here to stay, we've got cozy crafts on the brain. Instead of outdoor projects or anything that requires open windows for air circulation, we're thinking about knitting, sewing and all things soft and comfortable. This cuddly mindset got me thinking about crafts I could make with felt. Here are five great ideas for simple, but chic felt crafts.
Above: There's an amazing tutorial for how to make this rosette pillow on Etsy's blog. The project originally appeared in the book
Felt Furnishings.
Plus, there's another great book excerpt from Etsy's blog: A no-sew, faux zebra skin rug. This crafty idea hails form the book,
Dorm Décor.
Martha Stewart's website has
so many felt projects, it was hard to chose one for this post. This adorable
felt tree stump trivet was my favorite of Martha's various soft projects.
Here's a great little
reversible basket made out of felt from the blog
Resurrection Fern. The post has step-by-step instructions for how you can recreate your own felt organizer.
Another no-sew idea is this
woven felt place mat from the
Purl Bee. Felt place mat could be a cozy way to dress up a holiday table, especially if you use a holiday palette for your felt.
