So maybe you don't want to work for Diddy, but who wouldn't want to live like him?
Three lucky (and by lucky, I mean rich) New Yorkers are shelling out a pretty penny to move into apartment homes at the mogul's former residence, 807 Park Avenue.
The 12-story, Romanesque Revival building has spent most of its existence in obscurity, measuring just five stories tall when it was built in 1899 and undergoing one construction project after another throughout the years. It was even foreclosed on in the 1980s. But with Diddy taking over the deed in the late 90s, occupying the four bottom floors, and renting out the top to the likes of socialite Rena Sindi, the property was destined for greatness.
Now the limestone structure features a doorman and three townhouse-style apartments, each occupying four stories with its own private elevator off of the main lobby, four fireplaces and a 17-foot living room facing Park Avenue. Designer Eric Cohler was tapped to decorate the 5,500- to 6,500-square-foot units.
The result: Sheer downtown glamour in the heart of the Upper East Side.
The price tag: A whopping $32,000, $38,000 and $40,000 a month.
With 17-foot ceilings, the living rooms are the heart and soul of these apartments.
