High vs. Low: Red and White Upholstered Chairs

Target and Anthropologie offer up graphic red and white chairs

We've loved Anthropologie's boldly-patterned, upholstered furniture for years, especially the Astrid chair. However, it'll be at least another decade before we could even think of spending that much on a chair -- no matter how stunning it might be and no matter how wealthy we may become.

So, we were thrilled to see that budget retailer Target has taken a cue from Anthropologie with a line of graphic-patterned upholstered goods. The new-ish Gerber Upholstered Chairs Collection isn't as elegant as the Astrid chair, but they fulfill the red and white upholstered chair craving for a much more reasonable sum of $299. Gerber's 100% cotton upholstery comes in three fresh colors, in case red and white doesn't match your décor.
