Furniture Today reports that basketball star LeBron James will develop a furniture line with furniture company American Signature. James's brand manager LRMR Marketing and his longtime girlfriend (and high school sweetheart!) Savannah Brinson will also collaborate on the line.
USA Today says that James will be, "sharing his family's lifestyle with fans and other consumers," through the line. The LeBron James-branded collection will launch in summer 2010 at Value City and American Signature stores (American Signature has 125 stores in 19 states).
This partnership marks the first licensing deal for American Signature. However, furniture collection and sports star pairings are not new; former quarterback John Elway has a line of manly furnishing with Bassett. Nor is a licensing deal new for James, who has produced a line of sneakers with Nike and has endorsed products from brands as varied as Bubblicious gum and State Farm Insurance.
We can't wait to see what the Cleveland Cavaliers start comes up with for his first foray into home furnishings.

I think you forgot a series of laws that prohibitied Amerians of dark skin color from 1) learning to read and write 2) vote 3) attend school based on merit 3) patronize restaurants/businesses 4) attend universities aligned with their intellectual talents 5) have the same rights given to all other americans (even with the history books citing that americans of dark skinned tone participated in EVERY WAR of US history) and the list goes on while you have 1) KKK 2) Free Masons 3) Ole Boy Network 4) Heritage Foundation and the list goes on. Just because theres no label doesnt mean there aren't any "white" organizations. You'd be naive and out of the loop of your own demographic to think so. So....get a life and realize BET is Black "ENTERTAINMENT" television and NAACP is a organization to help those who cannot help themselves. If you want them to go away, start an all white org that duties to help minorities. lol didn't think so (I already know your answer)

ReplyDid you know that many of "elites" in our society do not have an education past highschool? Amazing right? So do we call them geniuses, lucksters, or simply blessed? I really cannot find a derogratory term for them since this phenomena happens all over the world and encompasses many races. Oh and if your upset about how much money he makes, take your anger out on your fellow white brother who pays him lol. Oh and take your anger out on all those white people who don't really care about race but enjoy being entertained who buy his sneakers, products he endorses, etc. Funny thing about you bigots is that you hate black success but you fail to realize alot of it is supported by whites. You hate to pay taxes citing it goes to "worthless" minorities when white men in congress pass these measures. You like to cite how blacks are disproportionately in prisons and lack education when only a generation ago whites developed a system for that very purpose. If you don't like the world around, take measures to improve it, dont sit around and complain, hate and spread lies. You make it worse and you look very ugly in the process.

Lawdy Miss Julian, did you know that some of our greatest thinkers went to college and even graduated and learned how to create and invent and make your life more pleasant, if not more respectable and wrote the classical music and books and some of them were even black. I'll bet I know the names of six black opera singers and you would have to go look them up, assuming you can work google. I don't feel sorry for you, I pity you. You must think I owe you an education and respect. I don't. I worked for mine and if you want to do the same you might earn your GED and become someone productive. Y'll come back now.
