Betsey Johnson turns decorator to create a Mexican dream house decked out in her signature style.

Known for her fun and flirty fashions, the decor of Betsey Johnson's beach house along the Mexican Riviera is just as playful as her designs. Located about a half hour from Ixtapa near Barra de Potosi, a tiny fishing village, the house is decked out in fuschia, turquoise and chartreuse paint and wildly patterned fabrics. The colorful house is named Betseyville, which is also the name of her accessories line.

Johnson bought the property, a former hotel, while on vacation in Mexico in 2003. Later, when she wasn't enjoying this luscious, tropical pad herself, she rented Betseyville out by the week for $7,500. Now the four-bedroom, six-bath compound is up for sale; Prudential California Realty Ixtapa-Zuhua Division is listing it for $600,000.

An unusual grouping of five palapas (thatched huts), the property is full of nooks and crannies to relax. Lush, tropical gardens surround two pools (one designed for swimming laps) and a terrace.

Four of the bedrooms have their own bath -- and all are decorated in full Betsey style. For example, the swanky chandelier, chartreuse walls, floral-patterned curtains and black and white tiled floor are a reflection of Betsey Johnson's apparel and accessories lines.

If there were any doubts about Betsey Johnson's favorite colors, this pretty-in-pink bedroom reveals that she loves all shades of rose. Mosquito nets above the beds are both a decorative and practical touch.

In addition to sleeping quarters, there are two kitchens and a fiesta-worthy dining room. Betsey's penchant for pink even extends to the dining chairs! The entire property is gated -- which might come in handy for its future owner, who may encounter fashion-crazed gawkers trying to get a glimpse of Betsey within.

Not my style .....yuck. It is her home and if she likes it more power to her. I do like the tree in the center of the pool.

Was she on an acid trip when she started painting ? She looks like an aging hippie from the 60's.

    I don't like it. It's too confusing.

The pool is OK -- but the interior of the house is obnoxious -- however, she shoud be far more embarrassed by that outfit she is wearing.
