Many fashion trends step right off the runway and into your home, even if you don't see the connection right away. Let's take a look at what was hot on the catwalk for Spring 2010 and see how those trends translate into home decor that is sure to match your Spring/Summer wardrobe.

2. Turquoise and Tomato Puree. These are the two hottest colors from Pantone's Spring 2010 color report. Adding these colors to your neutrals is sure to remove any blah feeling you might worry about having with a neutral palette. Target has some great dinnerware options to spice up your Spring tabletop. The ZaZen Crackle and American Simplicity in Sangria are my favorite, $80 and $50 respectively, for 16 pieces.

3. Abstract prints. These fresh, colorful prints are all over the runway, showing us that a crazy impressionistic print or painterly pair of pants can be an unexpected delight. The same is true in your home. The Dransfield & Ross "Slipware" bed linens is just one example of how this trend is slowly seeping into home decor. With pieces starting at $130, these ain't cheap, so if you're looking to add abstraction to your decor on a budget try shopping around for affordable artwork on sites like Etsy or 20x200.
