These wallpaper designs are so good they'll make you feel light as air! Photo: Graham & Brown
You may not be familiar with his name, but Marcel Wanders is the creative designer behind products for brands like Magis, Baccarat, Flos and Moooi. (It sometimes seems to me that his creativity knows no bounds.) His latest venture, Couture wallpaper collection for Graham & Brown, is signature Wanders: Elegant and sophisticated with just a dash of the unexpected. (Speaking of unexpected, we love the surprising product images with models who seem to be defying gravity.)
The glamorous collection features eight striking designs, all named for what appear to be names that conjure up old Hollywood: Alice, Grace, Kelly, Suzanne, Stella, Isabella, Audrey, and Henry. Each design is available in a variety of colorways, both soft and bold. The papers also featured Graham & Brown's unique clay-coat papers with the option of a matte finish with metallic and gloss accents -- very Hollywood glam.
The patterns are quite different from one another, yet they feel like a well-rounded, connected family. Grace, Isabella, Stella, Alice and Suzanne are all intricate patterns. Audrey is a subtle plaid that feels both feminine and masculine. Henry is a masculine stripe reminiscent of a finely-tailored suit. And finally, Kelly feels like a marriage of the other seven designs in one.
Henry is the only pattern with a man's name in the collection. Photo: Graham & Brown
