Celine Dion knows a thing or two about fun -- or maybe just unbridled excess. On the heels of news that she is pregnant and expecting twins with hubby Rene Angelil later this year, we've got gallery of chanteuse Celine Dion's massive Florida maison -- complete with a full-fledged waterpark that is as impressive as some of the most-visited aquatic playgrounds in the country.
The $20 million home overlooks the Atlantic Ocean on swanky Jupiter Island, where neighbors include none other than Tiger Woods. The 9,825-square-foot pad has been home for the couple and their nine-year-old boy since 2005, when she purchased it for $12.5 million.

On top of the usual lavish accompaniments to a home sporting this kind of price tag, there is a lazy river (which wraps around one of the two swimming pools) and two water slides. All of it was of Dion's own design, but it didn't go down well with the neighbors, given the fact that the water park requires 500,000 gallons of water. It reportedly uses up much of the island's fresh-water supply.
Also on the 5.7-acre grounds is a tennis court, underground garage and a beach-side cabana. And this is no teeny cabana: Inside is a gym, so that workouts can be accompanied by crashing waves and a gorgeous sunrise.

All of the buildings have an elegant white exterior. Inside, the home has eight bedrooms reconfigured to two massive guest rooms and a 460-square-foot wardrobe (because if you're putting on concerts like Dion you need the space to accessorize?).
I don't think it's possible to be bored here.

A vulgar display of wealth. Gaudy and overdone --- but then that also describes Celine Dion.
ReplyGet jealous very often? It really shows
Although her music is a bit too syrupy for me, I can't fault her for this wretched excess. After all, you only live so long...may as well enjoy the fruits of your labor. I think I'd buy a few Dobermans to keep out the riff-raff though.
Great for her family. Now they can enjoy themselves without causing public traffic jams. Who would be so crass to be jelous over someone that works had spending their own money any way they want to :
Any complaints are just "sour Grapes"
I agree it is a little over the top BUT she is truely talented and so is her husband. They have a right to buy what they want. I also agree with the person who called you jealous, you are as well as rude. She has more talent in her finger nail than you probably do
No one "needs" that much space, and if we all build areas this large there would be nowhere for anyone to live. I guess someone "has" to buy pieces of an island to have a clean conscience? I guess people that do this have the idea that anything they build can just be destroyed if more room is needed for other homes in the future, and so all of this money was a waste for ones "self"? I come from a family blessed with money, and we do not build areas that take up 10 to 100 times what is "needed" in order to "live". This money could go to much better use for "other" people.
REALLY DON'T CARE HOW CELEB'S SPEND THEIR MONEY UNLESS IT INFRINGES ON OTHERS........WHICH THE USE OF ALL THAT FRESH WATER DOES.........WHEN WE RUN SHORT ARE WE TO DRINK FROM ONE OF HER POOLS?.........WITH ALL THAT MONEY AND BEING RIGHT ON THE OCEAN, WHY CAN'T SHE FILTER IN SALT WATER? SHAME, SHAME, SHAME.......SELFISH, SELFISH, SELFISH........
Beyond the over-the-top garish spending is the more important point that celine has chosen to use up most of the island's fresh water supply so she can have her amusement park....water is so precious, especially on an island (i've lived on one), but obviously she doesn't give a hoot.
Beautiful home. I am building a home and would love it to look like this. I would do exactly what she is doing. And what is the problem here? Isn't she entitled to enjoy herself, and create a fun place for her children? This article is meant to demean her.. and all who comment are envious that they don't have the same. I think the house is elegant, classic and fun. I hope she has much enjoyment from it.
if i ever get a chance i'm going to pee in her pool while she sings for me..lol
Everyone has choices to make in life. Whether they be for pleasure or for the good of others. We are not here to judge what others do. We all are not perfect in one way or the other. We don't know what she may be doing in secret. She may be helping many other people with some of her money. So don't ever be quick to judge another. Spend your time wisely, it's going to count in the end. God bless everyone. http://www.itrustgodonly.com
Yes, it's lovely but, maybe a little self centered if it uses up all the natural water supply. I wouldn't be so bothered by it if it didn't put others out.
yes!
Gaudy? Yep....Garish? Definitely......but that's $20 million that she pumped into an economy with a 11% unemployment rate. That place also requires tremendous upkeep, which means several other people will have permanent jobs.
Be jealous of the wealthy if you must.....but I would MUCH rather have wealthy people spending their money than sticking it in a wall somewhere out of circulation where no one benefits from it.
Dion is very self centered and over indulged.....can't stand the bi*ch...certainly gave no thought to her neighbors, did she!
ummm If I had the money, I 'd have this in my backyard for sure. Looks like fun. Hey if you have it spend it any way you choose.
Money buys happiness. Who ever says it doesn't, doesn't have any. The world is Gods creation. He made it for you and I to enjoy and appreciate it. Without money, we cannot see nor enjoy his creation but only the place where we reside.
too bad you cannot enjoy the beauty here and also see how much joy she gives to people , leave alone the jobs she provides for the staff to take care of this gorgeous shangri-la. hope you will be free of jealousy which is so obvious. bless your heart though, you'll be fine in the long run.
How much does one kid need? It would take more energy to walk around the pool than to have actual fun in one. Great planning if swimming isn't really your thing.
More than vulgar - just senseless. How many pools can she swim in at one time? And apparently not much love of the environment since she has pretty much destroyed all of the natural to make way for the artificial. So much native Floriday Beauty destroyed and so much habitat lost just to pimp someone's ego ?
